Plants

Pansy - 6-9" tall. Full sun to part shade. Blooms in spring when night temperatures are 40oF and day temperatures are 60oF. Do not water in late afternoon or evenings. Pansies are cool season annuals. As the summer gets warm, their blooming slows down.  Deadheading will encourage them to bloom longer. Try cutting them back to a few inches above ground when it gets too hot. They may fill back out and begin blooming again in fall. Fertilize every two weeks.

Viola - 8" tall. Full sun to part shade, if too much shade flower size and numbers are reduced and plant becomes spindly. Blooms in spring and fall. Fertilize every two weeks.

Orange Star (Ornithogalums)- 12-15" tall. Full sun. Blooms in spring. Remove spent flowers as they die back, pulling the spike from the plant once all flowers have faded. Fertilize after it has completed flowering.

Lobelia - 4-9" tall. Full sun to part shade. Blooms spring thru fall. Fertilize every 4-6 weeks.

Petunia - 6-12" tall. Full sun. Blooms spring thru fall. Fertilize every 4-6 weeks.

Cosmos -  6-12" tall. Full sun. Blooms spring thru fall. Do not fertilize.

Alyssum - 4-6" tall. Full sun to part shade. Blooms spring thru fall. Fertilize every 4-6 weeks.

Flowering Tobacco (Nicotiana) - 36-48" tall.  Full sun to part shade.  Blooms summer thru fall.

Blue Bell (Browallia-bro-WAL-ee-uh spee-see-O-suh) - 6-12" tall. Full sun to part shade. Blooms summer thru fall. Fertilize every two weeks.

Wishbone (Torenia) - 8-12" tall. Particle shade to shade. Blooms spring thru fall. Fertilize every 2-4 weeks.

Verbena - 12-18" tall. Full sun. Blooms spring thru fall. Fertilize every 4-6 weeks.
